My experience with Deven was exceptional.  At first I was nervous and apprehensive when hiring a dog trainer, but I am completely satisfied with the choice that I made. Deven came to my home and took extra time making sure that my 100 pound Rottweiler and I were comfortable with what was going on.

After all the hard work and encouragement, I am now able to comfortably walk my dog on a leash. I also don’t have to worry about my fur baby jumping on everyone he meets because he has become a lot more receptive and obedient when I give him a command.

Though Deven is meticulous in his training techniques, he never lacked heart in what he was doing. I recommend him without any hesitation.

We made the decision to hire a trainer because our German Shepherd, Abe, was having so many issues and one of the big ones had to be spacial pressure anytime a dog or person would get too close. After we vetted a few we decided on Deven based on his philosophy about training and his demeanor. For example, Abe used to be extremely hesitant about going up and down on the A frame structure as part of his anxiety training. Well, today he actually went over it without any problems. It was definitely a triumph for us and Abe!

In such a short amount of time Deven has been able to accomplish so much with our boy & we are so thankful for all of his help. Currently, we are learning proper leash management as well as when to use correction, marking and targeting in order to teach Abe where he is supposed to be, which is right next to us. We know that there is still so much work left to do but so far it has been an awesome journey seeing our Abe grow. 

Deven creates a relationship with the dogs that he trains and establishes the trust that is needed. We want to thank you for your work and faith in both Abe and us.

We have been working with DK9 for about 6 months and I can honestly say that Deven is an expert in dog behavior. He knows the best equipment to use and stresses the importance of socialization during all of my training sessions. Of course, the training is really for the owner because it takes so much time and commitment in order to get the results you want or need.

My two Pitbull Catahoula dogs are able to do things I never thought were possible. For example, they go to their beds on command and lie there calmly until I release them, even when the doorbell rings! They're pretty much the best behaved dogs no matter where I take them. Currently, we are working towards being able to walk them off leash.

 I like that Deven will either come to your house, or work with you at the Arizona Canine Center in Chandler. He also offers a day training camp, where he picks them up and drops them off for you. He works and plays with them for 4 hours straight and it seriously helps me balance out my day to day. I highly recommend DK9 Solutions. I don't know how I would have been able to care for both of my big babies without Deven.
